Something our bedroom was in desperate need of was a place to sit. Our bed was always where we would plop down to put on our shoes at the start of the day. Each night, I would prop up several pillows on my knees to write in my journal in bed. It worked, there was nothing particularly wrong with either of these scenarios. However, we both agreed our room needed a comfy chair that we could lounge in at the end of the day, or a place to sit to put on our shoes.
So we put together our cozy corner! This accent chair from Ashley Furniture is the perfect size of added comfort for our space. We paired it with a lamp from Ikea that offers some shelves for decor and books. It has become my favorite spot to write in my journal or read a book.
We have yet to decide what wall decor to hang in our corner. So that will be something to look for in our One Room Challenge final reveal!
